By converting parts of the old harbor into a first-class office location and scene quarter Düsseldorf has achieved an urban planning success that has become a model for similar projects in Germany. Despite the many innovations, the old harbor atmosphere still reigns supreme. The Design is guided by two tower buildings hold together by a public platform reaching all the way to the waterfront. Due to the history of the quarter, the modern design of the Platform, which hosts the Ballroom and restaurant of the Hyatt Regency Düsseldorf. The entire ensemble is supported by carefully restored and still useable quay walls.
