The Stadtwerke Düsseldorf Headquarter is a modern office building integrated in the old structure of power plant II in Flingern, Düsseldorf. Therefor four parallel building blocks were added to the historical turbin hall. Characteristic for the new office complex are the three glass atriums which are implemented between the office blocks. These atriums funktion as the buildings natural climate control. Plantet with intesiv, tropical plants such as Fig trees (Ficus nitida) which are sitting in naturaly shaped planter beds coverd with lilyturf (Ophiopogon). This makes it climatically independent and increases the quality of stay in the atriums.
